Most schools and organizations have an uneven demand for help during the year. 

• Schools need more help during the set-up of a new year and also during reporting periods -- Watch out if it's report card time! 
• Likewise, libraries have high volumes of work under deadline pressure at the beginnings of the year, before holidays, and when they're wrapping up the year. 
• Offices usually have a fairly even demand for financial work except at the ends of the month and the end of financial quarters. 

In other words, we know that it's hard to predict when you will need us. 

We, on the other hand, are willing to make ourselves available according to your schedule in exchange for a reasonable, monthly retainer.  We will be available to answer your questions and walk you through problems, and fix those that are our responsibility (making sure the software does what it's meant to do) whenever you need us.  All we want is a reasonable and dependable wage over the year.
