You've heard about it but did you realize that it may be just the ticket (type of computer operating system) you've always said there should be? As in Why don't they . . . ? Well, "they" already do.
Come to this weekend workshop with a laptop or desktop computer with an ethernet (LAN) port and we'll hook you to our network and teach you a simpler way to use your computer:
- How to install Ubuntu Linux (if you want Fedora, we can arrange a separate class).
- Look, only one CD!
- How to do initial configuration so you can start using it fast for:
- Web browsing (Google, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.)
- Document writing (Text, Spreadsheets, Drawings (look, Mom! No MS!))
- E-mailing (Web-based or Desktop-based.)
- Graphical manipulation. (Look, Watch Movies and Listen to Music! Look, no Photoshop!)
- Networking, printing, scanning.
- Skype.
- SMS.
- We'll add in an iteachnet.org starter-Web kit: mail, web site, blog, file repository for one year!
- Free e-mail and phone support for a year!
NOTE: If you'd like more to train more than ten people, please contact us.
