GNU-Linux Desktop Training 1-3 People

You've heard about it but did you realize that it may be just the ticket (type of computer operating system) you've always said there should be? As in Why don't they . . . ? Well, "they" already do.

Come to this weekend workshop with a laptop or desktop computer with an ethernet (LAN) port and we'll hook you to our network and teach you a simpler way to use your computer:

  • How to install Ubuntu Linux (if you want Fedora, we can arrange a separate class).
    • Look, only one CD!
  • How to do initial configuration so you can start using it fast for:
    • Web browsing (Google, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.)
    • Document writing (Text, Spreadsheets, Drawings (look, Mom! No MS!))
    • E-mailing (Web-based or Desktop-based.)
    • Graphical manipulation. (Look, Watch Movies and Listen to Music! Look, no Photoshop!)
    • Networking, printing, scanning.
    • Skype.
    • SMS.
  • We'll add in an iteachnet.org starter-Web kit: mail, web site, blog, file repository for one year!
  • Free e-mail and phone support for a year!

NOTE: If you'd like more to train more than ten people, please contact us.

Please describe your training needs as completely as you can.
If you have prepared a file that would help us to understand your project, please upload it here.
